Two possible consequences for wartime women factory workers when men began to return from oversea after the war include the following:
1. The women were expected to step aside for the men to take over.
2. The women were expected to become domesticated again and make taking care of their children their priority.
Women got the opportunity to work in the factories in the first instance because there was an acute shortage of men, since all of them had been drafted to the battle fields. After the war, the men came back and the women were expected to hand over to them and go back to their former domesticated lives.
