A caravel is a type of ship made
from a single stern caste. These types of ships were used by the Europeans for
their explorations of different lands unknown to them during the early days. Up
to this day, the way a caravel looks is still debatable and historians are yet
to find their answers. Through time these caravels were reliable because they
can be easily maneuvered, their speed was incredible and yet they perform safe
in the waters. The caravels gained their fame through the Spanish and
Portuguese voyages that discovered lands far from their imaginations. Columbus
was also said to have owned caravels during his time at sea and he named his
ships Niña and Pinta. He admired them so great because of their speed and how easy
it is to control at sea.
