Right lane. This is because a driver indicates to other drivers and passersby that he/she wants to take a turn but will assume that the passer have looked carefully. It's only in the case of a zebra crossing that such a driver is mandated by traffic rules to make a compulsory stop. Since, drivers are not required by the law to make a compulsory stop at a shared turn, it is therefore extremely important that one look at the left turn lane and right turn lane before proceeding.
