Why are dynamic flexibility tests NOT used as often as static flexibility tests?

A. Dynamic flexibility tests involve more subjective measurements.
B. Static flexibility tests are less expensive to perform.
C. Dynamic flexibility tests do not provide useful data.
D. Static flexibility tests are more difficult to standardize.

Respuesta :

The dynamic flexibility tests is not used as often as static flexibility test because the dynamic flexibility tests involve more subjective measurements.

Further Explanation:

There are many test can perform to test the flexibility of an individual. The flexibility mainly divides into two parts:

Dynamic: This is relates to energy required for movement of joints.

Static: This allow maximum range of motion

Mainly the dynamic flexibility test evaluates the stiffness of joints that is the amount of energy required to move joints. The two types of test come under the category of dynamic flexibility test.

Single joint action: It only involves the action of one joint.

Composite joint action: It involves range of motion due to one or two joint movement.

Static flexibility test are also of two types:

Relative: It measures the width or length of the body part.

Absolute: It measure the performance related to their goals.

The dynamic flexibility is not used frequently used because the static flexibility is easy to measure. In spite of dynamic flexibility being more relevant than static flexibility, is not used frequently. The dynamic flexibility is measured through the camera or by making video. Just because dynamic flexibility does not take into account the type of body and the strain produce. It uses only the subjective measurement which includes measurement of angle during flexibility test. So, it is not commonly used.
