Atticus intervenes in Scout's life several times in this section. Briefly summarize these incidents and analyze Atticus' role as a parent.
What philosophy does he seem to have about parenting? What talents as a parent does he reveal in these episodes? What does he seem to lack?

Atticus is very smart and knowledgable. His parenting style is sitting back and watching Scout and Jem figure it out by themselves. He will only interfere if they ask him a question or they mess up, then he will correct them.
