The sum of three numbers is 72. One number is two times 10 and another number is three times 10. What is the third number?

the third number is 22 because 30 plus 20 is 50 and than subtract 72 from 50

2×10  + 3×10 = 50= 20 + 30
so then we can subtract 50 from 72 
50 - 72= 22 so the other number is 22
