At the Apple farm, Laura picks 3 bushels of Apple's. the bushels weigh 6 1/2 pounds, 8 1/4 pounds, and 6 5/8 pounds. What is the average weight per bushel?

the average weight per bushel is 57/8 or 7.125
7  1/8 pounds
First add 6 1/2+ 8 1/4+ 6 5/8= 21 3/8
Then divide by however many bushels, in this case 3
21 3/8 /3 = 7 1/8
