Strengths: The country was able to give every state all of the power and gave them independence. They established the U.S post office and organized and regulated western territories.
Weaknesses: The central government was very weak and was unable to tax states. They couldn’t regulate trade between states either. There was only one branch of government: the legislative branch. Another problem was that there was no national army and every states managed their own military and had their own currency. All 13 states had to vote to change the Articles.
