Solve the system of linear equations below. 2x + 3y = 2 x + 6y = 4

I don't need work shown but it would be appreciated. I'm doing an online class that doesnt really show how i should be doing this.

Respuesta :

2x+3y=2-----------(i)
x+6y=4-------------(ii)
Multiplying equation II by 2
2x+12y=8

Then
2x+3y=2
2x+12y=8
Subtracting equation I from equation II
9y=6
y=6/9
Replacing for y in equation I
2x+3(6/9)=2
2x+2=2
2x=0
x=0
