I don't really know what to do. Could somebody figure it out and give me the answer, but explain how you figured it out?

57 feet from the hole is the ball
Solution:
Length of the Tee (height) = 180 yard
Hole to Tee (hypotenuse) = 181 yard
To find the distance from the hole to ball.
The figure shows the it is right angled triangle.
Solve it using Pythagoras theorem,
[tex]\text {Base}^{2}+\text {Height}^{2}=\text {Hypotenuse}^{2}[/tex]
[tex]x^{2}+180^{2}=181^2[/tex]
[tex]x^{2}+32400=32761[/tex]
[tex]x^{2}=32761-32400[/tex]
[tex]x^{2}=361[/tex]
Taking square root on both sides of the equation.
[tex]x=19[/tex] yard
Convert yard to feet.
1 yard = 3 feet
19 yard = 19 × 3 = 57 feet
Hence 57 feet from the hole is the ball.
