which choice is the appropriate simplified form and restriction for the variable 2x-3x^2/5x^3
a. 1/5
b. 1/5x, (x=0)
c 1/5x^2, (x=0)
d. 2-3x/5x^2, (x=0)
by the way all of the zeros have an slash through them which I couldn't figure out how to type. Could someone please please please help me?

Respuesta :

You have to divide the numerator by the denominator and exclude the possibility that the initial denominator be zero.

When you divide [2x - 3x^2] / 5x^3 you simply must simplify an x and obtain:

[2 - 3x] / 5x^2, and x ≠ 0.

So the answer is the option d. but you must use ≠ instead of =.
