Lily pads, for one thing, get alot of nutritiants and water from the lake, river, or water lands it lives in. Not only does it get plenty of water to survive a day, but it can get food from the soil or sand at the bottom. Lily pads are very useful to frogs, who can leap from pad to pad. Fun fact, one of the largest lily pads could hold somwhere from a baby to an 9 year old kid!
