One event can be the Exodus from Egypt. It is believed that God wanted the people of Israel to leave Egypt and go to the holy lands where the Canaanites were, with his help and take land away from them. Another can be the Torah which was supposedly given by God himself, including the 10 commandments that were given to the people.
