The difference between Monday’s high temperature and 0 degrees F is x. The difference between Tuesday’s high temperature and 0 degrees F is greater than x. On neither day was the high temperature exactly 0 degrees F. Linda claims, “If I knew whether Tuesday’s high temperature was above or below 0 degrees F, I could figure out which days high temperature was colder.” Is she correct? Explain.

yes. if Tuesdays high temp was greater than 0 then x is lower on the thermometer than Tuesdays high do Monday would be colder. if Tuesdays high is less than zero then it is lower on the scale and thus Tuesday is colder
